Volley for a Cure Tradition Continues!

Under the leadership of the team members, and with the assistance of dedicated parents and friends, the #2 ranked (Maxpreps) Bronco Volleyball Team held its annual Volley for a Cure event on Thursday, October 7th vs. De La Salle (Montini Catholic came out on top, 25-21, 25-12).  Bronco families and friends earned $2,500 and will continue their tradition of dedicating one game per season to this most worthwhile cause.

Team members and their mothers were geared up for the evening and sold baked goods, t-shirts and other goodies before and during the games in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, founded in 1991 by breast cancer survivor, Janelle Hail. NBCF continues to grow every year to help more and more women around the world by educating them about breast cancer and providing free mammograms to women in need.

"Volley for a Cure is and always has been one of my favorite events," said Head Varsity Coach Patricia Samolinski.  " It’s amazing to be able to come together and use volleyball as a way to raise money for such a great cause.  Our parents' efforts and organization combined with the school’s support made it one of the best years we have had!"
